Necromancer's Dos Navigator

Thank you a lot for the new version. I tried only the DOS-32 version.
It is indeed a feature megarich program however for the everyday use I feel just fine with Volkov commander.
However I face few bugs.
1) Your NDN version does not work for me under windows 98 (but yes, in pure DOS is it OK)
2) The key F10 for accessing menus does not work and the only way how to activate the menu system is the mouse right-click in the forst line
3) I like the Volkov feature not to set any own textmode and detect the actual number on columns and rows and just to adapt to actual situation.

NDN tries to detect some emulators. This is probably the cause of the conflict with windows 98 DPMI. Try run NDN with option /NOEMU.
There is already a new version of NDN for DOS32.
Thank you for report.

OK, I made few more tests.

1) In private mail I complained about F10 key. The util you send reports the right code for F10 (0x004400). I found that the problem is in other place.
Normaly I have hidden the main menu in the first row.
After pressing F10 I expect the showing this menu with some highlighted item and I should be able to navigated with arrows to other oetms and submenus.
But in the current build of NDN. The menu is activated but the first row is still hidden. But if I press down arrow the submenu items are normaly shown.
However when I in the [configuration] -- [interface] disable the item "hide menu bar" everything works OK but the menu is still visible in the first line which is not ideal...

2) About Windows 98 incompatibility:
I tried the original distrubution (2.31.5474v) and I tried to patch the exacutable by your STUB.BAT utility. The behaviour is exactly the same, so:
a) NDN.COM without any parameters -- the program immediately crashes into windows error message which is english should be something like "Program executed an not allowed operation and will be terminated. Close all programs and restart the computer." Sometimes recoveres after CTRL-ALT-DEL but usually I have to press Reset.
b) NDN.COM /noemu -- NDN loads, successfuly switches the videomode and draws everything what should. The clock in the upper right corner are working and the dot between mins and secs in blinking.
But the keyboard does not respond, mouse does not respond and even if I run the NDN not in fullscreen but in windows (so I can see other program windows) the keyboard and mouse are completely frozen.

Your comments have been taken into account. Please check the NDN on your home and write.
PS. When the keyboard does not work, it is recommended to press Alt, then Ctrl and then Shift.

To use the current video mode without changing it to the previous one, just uncheck in the Options->Configurations->Startup/Shutdown->"[] Restore Screen Mode" menu.

I am sorry but I haven't understood what I am supposed to do.
I shall go into NDN.MUXE.COM? Or something else?...

I have corrected the errors you wrote about and would like you to check the keyboard in NDN.
You can download the NDN from: http://ndn.cba.pl/download/file/ndn-v2.31.5375.d32.exe
Thanks.

Amazing work!
Now the all issues I have spoken about are fixed!
Just for our curiosity - what exactly was the problem with the NDN crash in windows 98?

And one more question: Did you test the networking capabilities (like FTP transfer) in the DOS version?

Disabling the keyboard at the beginning and enabling at the end of the IRQ1 procedure has been removed.
I have also turned off emulator detection.

This feature has not been tested yet.
