Just occurred to me to check my email archive and I found a 2008 email to Eric: I seem to remember locating a newer version (v1.7) than I think the one I found in your own site:

04/09/2000 10:32 485,888 ALINK.EXE
ALINK v1.7 alpha (C) Copyright 1998-2000 Anthony A.J. Williams.
All Rights Reserved

So it seems that I must have been using 1.6 from Eric before upgrading to 1.7 (which he nows has). As per the BTTR links you will find the last distro @
http://alink.sourceforge.net/

The same email to Ericalso reminded me of Jeremy Gordon's GoLink etc:
http://www.godevtool.com/#linker
not helpful in this instance but a useful set of tools to also be aware of.
