thank you for your answer
I worked with PCI cards before
that is I have a PCI RS485 comunication card from Advantech

I have written a simple win32 console program
accesed BARs and so on
with which I could send a character from this card

(that card also used a PLX chip as a coincidence)

but I am not sure I can do this for a more complex card
like analog I/O without any help from producer

Its like a blind person painting a picture

thats why I wanted to ask forum people
if they know a company which provide DOS library for their products

I found a german company http://www.ebru.de/
but they have only digital I / O
