JEMM386 5.66 crashed with Volkov 4.99.08 (DOSX)

I tried for a fun a boot disk one from http://rugxulo.googlepages.com/ which contain's Japhet latest JEMM386 5.66 and HimemX 3.31. It boots but when I try to run Volkov Commander it crashed and I have to reboot. During reboot I saw that CMOS gets corrupted and I had to play with SETUP .
Then I tried a bit older ver 5.65 but also crashed. I had on HD some older version 5.63 and it works fine. So It seems something was changed wrong way... Please try this bootdisk with VC maybe it's some HW incompatability of my system but it would be good that jemm will not be much sensitive to HW.

DOS gives me freedom to unlimited HW access.

Please read the troubleshooting in readme.txt!

In almost all cases the problem is upper memory which is not really free, but used as UMBs or for the EMS page frame. VC uses EMS (can be disabled by "VC /noEMS").

Disks #1 and #2 both have a different selection of memory managers (i.e. they are not redundant, nothing on disk #1 is also on #2). And there is a default menu in FDCONFIG.SYS for both in case you prefer (or need) to use a different setup than my default, plus you have 60 secs. to choose! :-)

Anyways, the real reason for replying is because you may wish to backup your CMOS in case it is being reset (for whatever reason). I've already put this util on my upcoming disk #2 which isn't online yet.

You might also have better luck with CmosPwd (104k .ZIP) if you have a newer BIOS.
