Forum bug: Backslashes after 2017-06-14 (Announce) |
I noticed the following behaviour: If one writes, e.g., "C:\DOS" in a posting, it will become "C:DOS" after clicking "OK - Submit" or "Preview", i.e., the \ (backslash) is lost.
This is just to let you know, because I dunno when I will find time to fix it.
Update:
In the meantime you can work around by using two consecutive backslashes, i.e., write "C:\\DOS" to get "C:\DOS" in your posting.

I just tested doubling the backslashes with "Preview", and it seems to work there. (Of course you must remember to double it again after previewing, or it will be lost!)
I will submit it now to see if it works in "OK - Submit".

You are right, of course, Doug.
I forgot to write the obvious work around.
Thanks for clarifying. --- Forum admin |
