for info, may be possible add a multitasking support to freedos kernel
like european m$ dos 4

That probably is a complete image due to the fact that
way back then 720KB disks were quite common.

I booted it up... it's v4.00

So, the search continues to find v4.1M

Even if labeled 4.00, according to my understanding this is 4.1, including ps, and dossize.

Nevertheless not an official nor complete image, which lacks for instance sm.exe.

I tried to boot the rawritten disk but hanged very early after first touched FD. I also tried to use WinImage to convert it to 1,44 but the same. I can unpack files from image but sys.com cannot be run due to incorrect dos version. I could try to run another DOS 4.0 from my archive if it allows run sys. But I have suspection that it hangs due to some hw/bios incompatability...
