Here with D+ Browser, up and running.
What does "improved portable application support" mean ?
Is it just easier to port to Windows and MS-DOS, or is there something else ? --- AUSREG Consultancy http://www.ausreg.com

COOL
> improved portable application support on Windows and MS-DOG systems
???
Test results:
- needs hacky BAT file to run and has hardcoded pathes that one has to fix
- no Cookies (forget online Bancruptcying ...)
- CTL-C crashes (no C&P ...)
- file selector is very broken, crashes, and can even delete files inteded for upload ???
- random crashes
- whines about "NON-STANDARD refresh tag" (FASM forum)
- shows outdated pages (my new post is missing ... Wiki edits auto-reverted ... same problem as in other DOS browsers)
- can't login into SF
- TFM is outdated (Georg's one from 2011, 3 years old)
+ can post in FASM forum
+ can upload files if you try hard enough (tested with FASM forum)
+ can edit Wipkipedia (register:untested | login:untested | edit:OK(edit saved, no extra vandalism, no trunc with cca 40 KiB page, only std char's, problem char's untested), file upload:untested) --- This is a LOGITECH mouse driver, but some software expect here

It hanged when trying to download large file (I wanted to test transfer speed on some CD image). Standrard Dillo seems to me better and links faster, no reason for d+... --- DOS gives me freedom to unlimited HW access. |

So you cannot expect functional enhancements from this release.
My understanding is that for DPlus mainly the user interface has changed compared to his previous Dillo for Windows version. I am used to the Dillo user interface so I prefer that. |
