Important! Looking for new maintainer/hoster (Announce)

Hi all!

For personal reasons I will drop this forum after 31 December 2007.

Therefore I am looking for a reliable maintainer, who wants to continue driving this forum on his own web space. Forum software "my little forum" is based on PHP and MySQL. I will send forum/ folder containing all PHP and uploaded image files + latest SQL database dump. I will also try to provide some limited support to get the forum running.

If no new maintainer can be found, this forum will be set to read-only mode from 01 January 2008.

Regards
Robert Riebisch
P.S. This decision is not related to recent flame wars.

That's understandable. Nobody wants to air all their personal issues online (at least, I don't). Let's hope that everything goes well for you and yours in the future. And thanks for all your efforts so far. :-)

Previously, you hinted about us heading to news://comp.os.msdos.misc (or similar). So, maybe we should all consider that.

An unmoderated news group? No, thanks!

A better idea possibly is to use forumsplace (same as David Lindauer uses for CC386). This allows to change the admin/moderator quickly without moving the forum. Some time ago I already tried to create a forum, but there was an error reported. If someone is able to succeed, please tell us!

Hm, seems to be often attacked by spammer MFKRs like DJGPP group. Here wasn't this problem. Anyway thanks to RR for this place, hope I met all you elsewhere together not spreaded over millions forums.

I fear nothing :-D. But judging from ALA I have to say that such groups don't look too inviting. A nice forum with a caring mod is ways better.

So many erratic guys out there! Is it really that much fun to be a slave of your emotions?

Good news! Will you be announcing it at the EDR-DOS forum? A premature notice of this forum's death should be corrected somehow.

So your potatoes will be in order for a while longer?
