Mik's page is back (downlod only, also src, no info) | MPLR (Announce) |
As already mentioned in the PDF thread:
http://mik.dyndns.org/dos-stuff/
Tested MPLAYER. Works. Fast.
Space for improvements:
- There is still some whining about "broken" VESA
- No info added, all EXE's look the same "MPLAYER 1.0RC2" - adding something like "DOS port compiled by Mik" followed by exact date&time would be cool
- It "steals" some seconds of the movie at the beginning, because monitor needs this time to recover from the mode switch shock Possible fix: add a delay after the mode switch (and possibly fill screen grey before), default to 1 s, control by an additional cmdline switch or env variable "MPDELAY=3" Also a small (0.5s) delay at the end (keeping last frame) would be nice
- Place all the diff's into 1 archive --- This is a LOGITECH mouse driver, but some software expect here

COOL. Seems he compiled from later SVN version, instead of 1.0RC2. There are still minor issues left: still sometimes text messing into graphical screen, sometimes (rarely ?) a PF at end. --- This is a LOGITECH mouse driver, but some software expect here
