Gifsicle version 1.49 available (port) (Announce) |
On 04 May 2008 I finished my 32-bit DOS port of Eddie Kohler's Gifsicle version 1.49 using DJGPP version 2.04 beta. Binaries (gifsicle, gifdiff) and plain text manuals are available as gifs149b.zip. Fully configured sources including a GNU Diff file to be able to reverse my modifications plus some simple instructions on how to rebuild are in gifs149s.zip. --- Forum admin |

NO. Could you please reveal what it is supposed to do, and what the system requirements are ? I don't want to blame myself with a false bug report, just to make sure that I don't expect too much No RTFM please ... I did RTM and it indeed is F***** --- This is a LOGITECH mouse driver, but some software expect here

No "RTFM", but "it's all in the docs".
I'm not sure, what your problem is, so just report your bug and we'll see, if it's for real. --- Forum admin |

It makes animated .GIFs, right? If your .gif samples don't work, post them online so rr can optionally check them out (although he's only the porter, not the maintainer). |

Get back to work! 1.50 source code has just been released.
- 7.May.2008
- gifsicle, gifview: Refuse to read GIFs from the terminal. Requested by Robert Riebisch. |

Why? 1.49 for DOS is 1.50 in fact, because I didn't know, when Eddie will have released a new version.

Perhaps you could now assign the later version number, to avoid confusion?

At first I will look into DOS386's reports. DOS doesn't need two Gifsicle ports, I think. --- Forum admin |
