Update of MS-DOS by Microsoft from year 2001 (Announce)

Interresting. I thougnt that in 2001 was all support for MS-DOS and systems based on it abandoned. However on russian Fidonet I found this link:
IO.SYS update

Well, they indeed still supported Windows 98 and Windows Me. Until Windows XP came along (late 2001?) these were the last Windows versions for home users. It's not as spectacular as an update of retail MS-DOS (i.e. version 6.22) of that time would have been.

Old "news" : update of Windoze by Microsoft from year 2001

A quick inspection of the link provided will instantly reveal that it's an update of Windoze, not MS-DOS. Also it's a typical "nothing in 1'000'000 languages", 8 years old, I don't have the "problem" described there, and even less a valid license for this thing nor anything else from this fine company, so NO, I won't download it. :crying:
