links 2.14 and youtube downloader (Announce)

I tried links 2.14 (with freedos), searching the web.
Although links can access youtube in fact there is no way to access video or songs.
Also using ytcrack (updated 2016) by Fred Macall, as I did once, my recent experience is that the ytcrack outputs are rejected by youtube and no download possible.

However there is the possibility, for those interested, to access and download
music and videos from http://convert2mp3.net.
It 'a site that would require jv but it's actually very friendly and accessible without jv, and in a few steps with links you can use it .
(I cannnot do it with Dillo because it appears to halt the system).

You don't need anything more that Links to access the vids @ clipfish.
Can't do YT so far. Haven't tried the others yet.

For clipfish, find the page with the vid.
Look at source - press: \.
Search: / for ".mp4".
Collect the link from "http:// ................... .mp4"
Save.

You may be surprised how many websites can be accessed this way with just Links in DOS.

Thank you, you're right, and I'm really surprised by the speed of the download in Links 2.14 in Dos!

Hi all,

Keepvid works well with Youtube. There are multiple sub-pages of it and not all of the works, but the main www.keepvid.site is ok. I also use RAMdisk to store the videos temporarily. If it refuses to download some music videos or just gives some fake links, file2hd.com helps. It's slower but still okay.
