TDE (Thomson-Davis Editor) version 7.1 released (Announce) |
In case you missed it: In June 2024 Frank Davis released source code to TDE version 7.1: frank 0081 TDE 7.1, Thomson-Davis Editor, Valgrind clean memory rant July 22, 2024 - YouTube
Grab the sources from Frank's public folder on Google Drive. Sources should build for Windows 10, OpenBSD, NetBSD, FreeBSD, Linux, and OpenIndiana. (DOS isn't on the list.) No binaries are provided at all.
I successfully built TDE on Linux Mint 22 MATE just by running make -f makelinux.

Somehow I missed this, but there is indeed "makewatcom" in the sources. (Seems he was using OW 2.0-pre for "NT" with "wc386". His path has "BINNT64" in it.)
But no, I haven't tried rebuilding it yet. I'd probably prefer trying old OW 1.9, honestly. |
