merge source links 2.8.1 with 2.1.28 (Developers)

Hi all

i search a suggestion about this issue :

i want to merge the source of links 2.1.28

http://links.twibright.com/download/links-2.1pre28.tar.gz

and links 2.8.1

http://jikos.cz/~mikulas/links/links-2.8.1.tar.gz

this for add to 2.8.1 the js support (last js support enclosed in 2.1.8)

I've used the configure of 2.8.1 and added the js related files from 2.1.28 in path but the js files are ignored during build .
I've also try to add the js files in makefile created from configure of 2.8.1, but cause error.

So, for enclose the js related file in 2.8.1 what is the file to modify and how?

Please explain step-by -step in plain english..
