Arachne DGI like functionality in Links (Announce)

Perhaps if you give an example of what you want Links to do, I may be able to get it to work.

Arachne does it using the MIME.CFG file, which is editable.

Links has a config file, but I have not edited that.

I have successfully got Links to perform a couple of procedures in a similar way to what Arachne does, by creating batch files.
Describe an example of what you want to happen.

I am starting to think that what you want is likely to be similar to Arachne's APM - "plug-ins".

Haven't tried that with Links, but I have created several Arachne APMs including some with executable files. Some of these did grab HTTP files and edited parts of the download for Arachne to display.
Maybe this is what you are looking for.
