JPLDIS it is not about compression/decompression.

It is free first version of dbase, before Ashton-Tate buy it.
Ashton-Tate is owner of dbase, before Borland buy it.
Borland is owner of dbase, before Embarcadero kill all.

More newest owners i don't known (out of my scope).
