Announcement: SHUFHOOK, bubbling operation (Announce)
Links to the manual, a release, and the repo are collected at https://pushbx.org/ecm/web/#projects-shufhook. SHUFHOOK is a transient program that was inspired by KEEPHOOK (thread here). SHUFHOOK can make use of KEEPHOOK handlers, or other handlers that have IISP headers or that are discoverable using the AMIS interrupt lists. It is useful in case another TSR does not implement the advanced deinstallation method, and even if the TSR does not even support unhooking from IISP header chains at all.
The manual lists the possible operations. There are three different paths to do "bubbling", all of which need at least some handlers with IISP headers. When a handler is successfully bubbled it ends up as the topmost handler (pointed to by the IVT). Currently it is required to use the /S= switch with a code segment to match. Matching for MCB names (may require MS-DOS version 4 level compatibility) will probably be added soon, and possibly for AMIS product names too.
