OK, it may be useful also for other programs. Many years ago I tried to code some simple mp3 covox player in DJGPP where I installed my timer ISR in pmode via std DPMI functions. But as IRQ might be triggered also in RM it could cause some unwanted delays (I heard some drops - covox-LPT doesn't have any HW buffer). So maybe if I try to run my program under such DMPI host it would play more smooth...
