DOS for 64 bits? (Users)

posted by libz, 06.03.2026, 01:30

Hello Paul,

I've been busy with real life, trying to have some survival backup for what is coming in the world, promoted by the criminal elite. Not the one that is shown in the TVs, the other that are not shown.

The qemu commands you show refer to file=edk2-x86_64-code.fd and file=ucx64.vhd
but I cannot find them in the ucx64l.zip archive.
Where can I download them?
Didn't find them at https://www.pdos.org/ as well.

I see that there's some Rust programming in PDOS. Are you betting in this complex language?

There's a programming language that I'm slowly learning that seems to be of public domain.
It's Icon, a very high level language with some very advanced features.
https://www2.cs.arizona.edu/icon/docs/ipd266.htm
It could be a great addition to PDOS filling a void, because there's C for the systems programming and Icon could be available for the upper end.

Best regards
