Thanks, BTW is there some tool that can convert NDN config from previosus config to current version? It's anoying to configure the huge settings tree over and over again with every update...

BTW I can see that DOS32 version when run under XP NTVDM shows unexpected ".." line in file panel in root directory of every drive. Also when I select disk that belongs to empty USB card reader it crashes instead giving an read error.
And why there is a spinner beside clock?

Unfortunately, there is no such tool and it probably won't be.

You probably didn't delete the old configuration files.
There is an option in the menu:

Options->FileMangers->Setup->Behavior
[] Show ".." in main folders

> Also when I select disk that belongs to empty USB card reader it crashes

I haven't checked it out yet.

> And why there is a spinner beside clock?
Spinner shows that the program has not hang and is turned off by default.

Just an idea (I don't know how config storage in NDN works): If you store some partiucular config structures you could add a version number to them and when new version would try to parse old config it could load settings at least from structures that's version didn't changed and only structures that was updated that way old config couldn't be reused would be reset to default.

Thx, I found out...

> Spinner shows that the program has not hang and is turned off by default.

In my case it's on, where can I disable it?
I think the same purpose can be done by blinking dot/: in the clock and it's less eye-disturbing...

The configuration is in the form of records each the fields are read/saved separately and the whole record is sent to Dialog.

Options->Configuration->Interface...->Others
[x] Disable Showing Spinner

What compiler (+versions) do you use nowadays? Still VP for 32-bit and FPC for 64-bit?

Thank you, we get very little feedback of usage.

I didn't write versions. Do you use 3.0.4, 3.2.0 or something older?

Thank you. The D64 version is now faster and the Hungarian characters work well too.

I'm unable to download NDN-v3.00.0005.7Z from https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B_wEiYjzVkC0ZGtkbENENzF1Nms, because of a "virus". :-(

I can download NDN30005.UHA, but that file needs a password to unpack. :-|

Confirmed...

googledrive claims that it detected a virus in NDN-v3.00.0005.7Z

Soooo... got it with no problem at-all from the originally provided link of http://www.ndn.muxe.com/download ;-)

BTW... where-as googledrive requires a 'modern browser' with HTTPS & JS
capability.... ndn.muxe.com is fully accessible with any DOS browser.
(just now downloaded NDN using DOS Arachne v1.97)

And of-course the ZIP files there are not PW protected nor virus infected :)

For some reason this google drive page with many files is for me extremely slow in 'modern' js-enabled browser mozilla seamonkey on Windows, what the Hell, it can do better a simple FTP server on a 386, now quadcore @4.5GHz is not enoug, bloody JS... http://ndn.muxe.com/download/ of course works fine.

BTW in my case the option "download at your own risk" did't appear, it always checking the file again...

It has always baffled me as to why anyone would use a service such as
googledrive which is inaccessible to a DOS browser for distributing DOS software.

You found NDN-v3.00.0005.7Z on http://www.ndn.muxe.com/download? Can you provide a deep link?

Correct. I also dislike Google Drive, but unfortunately www.ndn.muxe.com doesn't have the combined archives. I would also like to see it sending a Last-Modified HTTP header.

ndn_3_00_0005_d32.zip != NDN-v3.00.0005.7Z, but thanks anyway.

There is no virus (false alarm is due to the fact that NDN changes access to its code so we could write to the code segment - it is easier for the code to be readable writable and executable).
In addition, there is an option on the google drive: download at your own risk.

This is the expected explanation. :-)

I don't get this option presented. Google Drive (in web browser) fails the virus check for this file and just aborts downloading.

What's the difference between v3.00.0005 and v3.00.0005u for the W64 target?

And between v3.00.0005 and v3.00.0005f for the W32 target?

Source code is not available anywhere?

The v3.00.0005u version is the unicode version.
Version v3.00.0005f is a 32-bit NDN compiled not by Virtual Pascal but by Free Pascal and contains code that uses Int64/QWord types (not available in VP).

The source code is not generally available.

I see. Maybe this explanation could be added before "NDN: Windows x64 (W64)" on http://www.ndn.muxe.com/download?

For what reason? :-|
