CTMOUSE 2.1b4 (+bugs) released 2008-06-01 (Announce)

Eric Auer (known from the famous AuerDOS :lol3: ) released CTMOUSE 2.1 beta 4 :-)

What's new:

- Compiles with JaWasm instead of TA$M
- Works in QEMU again

Bugs:

- No piece of docs updated (not even history)
- Outputs some garbage (see shot)

Beware that this new version disables wheel support by default and changes the meaning of some options (/O /Y).

Why I wonder? Is there any wheel-unaware software that breaks with the older version of CuteMouse?

I don't know, but this new release supports Dell Inspiron (whereas previous it was misdetected).

Did you use it with the option '/O' in order to enable wheel support? The meaning of the option has been inverted.

In a discussion of socialism, I can't quote Marx? And it was Karl, not Groucho.

A complaint from you, who claims to enjoy playing the troll for amusement, is especially funny.

Good point ... but maybe there are 2 additional and even more crucial points left:

- This was about CTMOUSE, not SOCIALISM

- CTMOUSE and SOCIALISM are 2 different things

A subjective matter. They are the same in that both discussions have ended.

Is this supposed to be taken seriously? Of course he despised the workers and petty-bourgeois - he was the son of a banker, and never had a real job in his life. But he hated his father, too. Big problem - what to do? Join the revolution! At the top, of course. Rose to Minister of Culture in Hungary, in charge of crushing the ideas that had flowered in 1956.

But I digress. We must not let Marx get in the way of Stalinism Marxism.

What software are you trying to use the wheel in? A list of apps supporting the mouse wheel is in DOS apps w/ wheel support.

I can use the wheel in Arachne 1.93 without problems with my PS/2 (wire) mouse and ctmouse 2.1b4.

YES, but we had 1'000'000 Alphas and Betas in last 8 years and they all were debug-disabled :-|

1. It's wheel not [w]hell

2. Please place a proper bug report ... "sometime worked with arachne" is not very informative ... All >= 1.9.1 versions of CTMOUSE did work for me with Arachne ...

There are other people too on this board who should evolve, but they don't even try to do this because they consider themselves smart enough. Unfortunately this is not the case. I don't understand why DOS386 is so much ironized, at least he sacrifices from his time for testing software.

Yea, "wheel" ... I will explain more detail of mouse version beta 1 in
Arachne. I opened INBOX, then I used wheel to scroll screen with messages,
then I went to www and open html document a come back to INBOX, where
whell didn`t work yet. Beta 4 doesn`t work at all.
But Beta 1 was very improved than cutemouse 2 or 1.9, which very often freeze
all DR-DOS system.
