dos2x new ver released (Announce)

Here is the new release of dos2x ( a 32bit pmode dos), some say it a dos extender, but whats in a name, i also have a ver that need no dos, but this ver is useful to run old 16bit dos apps, by going back to 16bit freedos.

Here you will find a freedos floppy image boot to freedos and run dos2x.exe It will go to dos2x's gui or cli if you do not have the right vesa mode available .
you can also exit back to freedos by typing exit at the cli, to run normal dos apps.

This ver is 100% compatable with dos as far as int 21h function go, but its full pm32bit.
Its got a fasm port normal and ide.
Simple GUI
The non dos boot ver of dos2x will be release in a week or two.

NOTE: Its needs a PURE DOS to run from.

Also you will need 128 mb of ram or above for this ver (it does not need that much, but is set that way)

Its open source, source code here:

Its also got a UK keyboard, i will post USA keyboard latter today or tomorrow.

Thanks! It works.

I haven't tested it, but I seriously doubt that, for example, Int 21h, ah=31h (terminate and stay resident) will work.

Thanks for testing it, i will post a German keyboard ver, latter today.

As far as int 21h functions goes, I may of put it wrong, what i should of put was the int 21h functions are 100% compatable to Dos, as far as regs go (other than 32bit instead of 16bit), error and return value etc.

Here are both German & USA key board ver's, just replace the dos2x.exe with the one's in the zips, i do not have keyboards to test, so they are untested by me.

Thanks! A quick test of the German keyboard driver revealed no errors.
