Norton Utilities 5.01 Error Messages (Users)

This seems like a strange problem. I mean, deleted files aren't usually a reliable way to store things. ;-) So trying to get them back is difficult, if not impossible, esp. the common way things are handled (IIRC ... 0xE5 for first char in name with any space freed for later overwriting later).

If you want an undelete, try the one from FreeDOS (and DOSFSCK [386+, a la ScanDisk] if you want to fix / recover borked files and clusters).

Actually, IIRC, old 16-bit DOS Navigator 1.51 had an undelete built in (though I'm just mentioning it for completeness).

Otherwise, I don't see the urgency as all of that data is deleted anyways, hence presumably not very important. (But I could be wrong ....)
