Eric didn't do the port, Joergen Ibsen did. And I recently contacted him via e-mail, but he's too busy to (probably) do it again these days:

I pointed him to my FreeDOS mini distro, hoping that would help get him up and running. But he needs time, so I didn't press him too hard. (Besides, we still have F-Prot, as mentioned above, and others like RHBVS).
