Because it has a lot of security leaks and doesn't generate valid HTML all the time.

It's still maintainable, but this version is no longer developed by the author. So I'm on my own to fix things and I lack time (as you already know).

But if someone really wants to contribute secure PHP code to "my little forum" I might change my mind. For instance I need a feature to break up drifted threads.

Also integration of the Smarty template engine would make many things easier.

Or how do you like my little forum v2? But it's still beta and I don't know, if it's more secure. Maybe "sol" could review source code?
