What TCP/IP do you have installed? AFAIK Links2 has built-in TCP/IP. Can you give more details about your Ethernet card and driver, connection type/protocol etc.?

EDIT: Links2 works without problems for me in DOS. I have to load only the packet driver for my network card (also Ethernet). I am connected to Internet through LAN.
