FlWriter version 1.0 released (Announce)

Firstly thank you for your good work on lib/FLWriter porting. I do have to fully agree with Jassenna re the distribution size. I took a look at the beta when it came out. I will take a look v1 in a min however the first time I tried to d/l a minute ago the download crashed the browser on this machine. Indeed when I looked at the size I thought hmmm better download via wget, however I thought I'd try via a browser as a test - which just failed!

 True but having just reviewed the beta, does the main distribution really need to have so many fonts which are close in font design. Surely it would make sense to split the distribution into say 2-3 zips, e.g. 1) program code, 2) basic fonts 3) additional fonts. or 1) "program code + basic fonts" and 2) additional fonts.

Particularly as fonts tend to stay constant whereas program code tends to change.

 Ok, then thought needs to be placed into the installer/splitting ZIPS. I think the old way Borland used to distribute is a good example of getting it right. So perhaps something similar e.g. all.zip with an installer which recognises that all files are there. and then for those on slower links or not wanting to keep redownloading the same stuff, all.zip split into say 1.zip 2.zip 3.zip where exactly the same installer of in all.zip exists in 1.zip (but not in 2.zip or 3.zip) and recognises the presese of flag files, e.g. disk2.id and disk3.id and therefore acts accordingly. Obviously all.zip would contain disk1.id+disk2.id+disk3.id.

That way there is a single installer, maintenance of this good project is kept down and people have a choice of all.zip or multiple zips.

Still I know just how much time goes into projects. It's your project and thus it's up to you how to proceed but I think the old Borland approach of disk.id files works well and will work well for this particular project.
