I tend to agree with you re "independent" work vs "team" work.

FYI, the main instance I was thinking of involved myself walking away due to the disrespectful attitude of someone in their 50's to several people in their 80's, so it had absolutely nothing to do with my ideas, other than the fact that I didn't feel that people in their 80's should be treated in the way in which they were. Note: I wasn't the only one who walked over it either.

I believe you are making a valid point. However that said I still don't believe that seeking the middle ground ever means the total loss of any of these things. Yes, people do at times have to compromise a little in some way but total loss of all identity, creative freedoms collectively - no.

I could read this in several ways. Please explain by what you meant?
