CWSDPMI r5 vs. r7 (paq8o8z) (Announce)

Why would I spam CWSDPMI bugs in your tracker?

I know (and reported) some of its shortcomings/bugs, though most of them are related to DOS process stuff. More importantly, some DPMI things are done so poorly that it might stab you (FPC) in the back if you (FPC) deviate(s) from DJGPP's DPMI subset. (I am not aware of any issues new to r7 though. Edit: None of my bugs were addressed by r7, either. In fact, I reported them recently when r7 was already out. There's no upcoming release either. Might have sounded like that.)

True; I meant to say you use their loader and DPMI host. Therefore I assume that the subset currently used by FPC is similar to DJGPP's.

Okay. But (asking Rugxulo here) what was the disadvantage of r7 again? I can only find this document, which indicates you can (pre)configure r7 not to use 4 MiB pages to avoid the issues.
