Ultimate DOS kernel file copy speed test (Miscellaneous)

For FAT processing (searching and allocation of clusters), it is. And actually that's the most important job of the DOS kernel here, not copying data itself.

I used 4DOS COPY /B, but as I've already tried, XCOPY or almost any other used application doesn't make significant difference here.

Last versions, same configuration for all kernels. No need to post my CONFIGs?

Yes, if you re-read my previous post, you'll see that both drives are FAT32.

Yes, ROM-DOS 7.10 which I tested does. It also can support LFNs natively.

You drive me, an innocent and even unregistered user of your forum, away?! OK!

Thank you for your care, but perhaps I myself prefer living in the past?!

OK, before I go away as you want, I'll confess: DOS, Mac OS X, Solaris, *BSD and Linux have all something very important in common: They have nothing to do with MS-Windows! And that's why I like them all, despite some disappointments.
