Well, I have results:

- No sensitivity to directory name
- Bug occurs __ONLY__ (at least now seems to :-| ) in directories containing no files, irrespective whether there are some (visible) DIR's in or not
- Inserting floppy doesn't help much (it just repeatedly accesses it)
- Occurs in FreeDOS, not in EDR-DOS (please, everyone who reads this, suggest me to throw away FreeDOS :crying: )
- I'm not aware of any other app exposing such bug symptoms (FreeDOS kernel bug ? :-( )

Please do if you don't find the bug otherwise ... please send any attachments via "yousendit" ;-)

And the last 3 years were "reserved" to schools :lol3:

Agree

Feel free to send ... and point me to "hot" files ... or need an external backup ? ;-)

I consider this issue as pretty critical :-(

Indeed ... one of first things I check/test with a compiler ;-)

Minor issue: "a" and "p" in times - no way to switch off ?
