Thanks for caring, but it's useless to me. Sorry.
1) "fdapm apmdos" might cool down the CPU a bit, but it won't lower CPU speed, so fans always run at very conservative speeds. On Windows fans were also too loud, but I can use Notebook Hardware Control (NHC) to underclock the CPU to 600 MHz. Changing CPU clock requires an in-deep knowledge of ACPI. Eric showed some interest trying to implement such a DOS tool, but I was too busy to assist.
2) I already tried Throttle in the past.
3) Of course, I'm already using latest BIOS F.16 from 2005 for my Compaq Evo N620c.
