Why ? So 1.57b8 will be the very last one ?

http://www.webmproject.org/ WEBM is a subset of Matroska.

Good :-)

Other issues of 1.57b8 (or was it 1.57b7?):

- Files are apparently recognized by extension only, rather than by content, content is parsed only to the degree allowed by the extension (?)

- In "show all files" mode, complaints about "can't play" refer to wrong files ... problem with index in the list ?

- Trouble with a strange ISA sound card (recognized 2 x as ESS and SBP, as ESS makes noise only, as SBP plays at double speed !!!, after hanging 2 minutes at startup)

- OGG timing / seeking
