XP broke a lot, and Vista even worse. Seriously, I know that shouldn't matter so much, but it does. When even Windows didn't support it, many projects literally gave up.

But anyways, haven't you heard the old adage: "90% of statistics are made up" ?? ;-)

http://sourceforge.net/projects/freedos/files/Kernel/2039/stats/timeline

That link and graph shows that the 2039 kernel was downloaded 538 times in the past week.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/freedos/files/Kernel/

That one has a small icon you can hover your mouse over for each kernel. Assuming you believe everything you read (which you shouldn't, obviously??):

2039       2009-08-02        22,240
2038       2009-06-11           244
2036test   2006-05-21            55
2.0.35.a   2005-02-25           148
2.0.35     2004-05-30            89
2.0.34     2004-04-17            17

Now SERIOUSLY, who the hell believes those numbers are correct??? :-|

EDIT: BTW, weird to me that Freewebtown "mirror" isn't updated, still only has beta 9. I used to think that was more frequent / recent than SourceForge, but apparently that's changed lately. Oh well, whatever, just confusing.
