Seems like it could be trying to initialize a nonexistant 'node id'


Also, as suggested, I tried -vo vesa:nodga on my i7 system to disable Linear Frame Buffer, but get only a black screen, no video. However, MPLAYER does not freeze, and can be exited gracefully. Any other ideas?
