Thanks :-)

they switched back:

http://omploader.org/vY3A4Mg and the binaries from http://omploader.org/vY3A4NA

Minimal test results:

* Source code available (lack of source used to cause problems in the past) :-)

* No sound (most likely bad PC with card not on the list, I'll try other later)

* Theora-mirror-BUG fixed

* Theora-offset-BUG still in (99% of binaries have it too, but 1% (by Mik IIRC) don't ... lost patch ... http://ffmpeg.org/ wrote:

* Vidix driver correctly identifies my card but doesn't switch mode (old-hat BUG ?)

* Video sometimes flickering (??? related to no sound ???)

* One movie (FLV 320 * 175 http://jafile.com/uploads/dos386/fluid.zip) causes fullscreen (??? new BUG ???)

* -really-quiet is -really-badly needed oterhwise not only messy output (as always in the past) but even more damage (memory corruption ??? hangs ??? fails to switch back to text mode "vesa" when done ???)

* Still "theft" of some frames or complete movie if very short ... because monitor takes ages to recover from mode switch ... would it be possible to add a delay after mode switch (2 s ?) before playing and another one after last frame (1 s ?) before switch back to text mode ?

* XXX264-CMOVNTQ-BUG not tested http://omploader.org/vN2c4Mw/BALLMERA.FLV

* Some movies do play (YUV, Theora, WebM, MP0-MPEG4-XXX264, ...)
