Just thinking about this some more.

If I'm going to get anything else to work, the
thing that interests me the most is HX.

I would be happy to implement some subset of
DPMI purely for use by HX. If someone else
uses it too, they're on their own.

But at what level does INT 31H make sense in
a PDOS/386 environment? There is no 16-bit
DOS waiting to be called, and if you attempt
to do that, you will fail.

So what sort of INT 31H call could HX do that
makes sense in a "pure" 32-bit environment?

I would be happy to translate an attempt to
call a non-existent 16-bit API back into a
32-bit API call. After all, the INT 21H
functions match already. If I have missed
any INT 21H functions, that's not a problem,
I'm happy to add anything important.

I'm happy to provide dummy functions in
INT 31H to satisfy HX too.
