If you want to execute 16-bit executables
you need to use PDOS/86, built from the
same source base.

I don't have that on pdos.org though as I
am not really expecting it to be used. The
last official release is available in
sourceforge though.

Yes, if you don't have a use for Win32 executables,
PDOS/386 isn't very useful.
