This may NOT be a bug, but rather me not setting up Long File Names properly (never before, in DOS, used LFN's or had config/autoexec setup anything to do with LFN and related) - so here is what happened to me...

After successfully booting up and having a 30.5 Gi (32,714,765,312 bytes) FAT32 RAMdrive, creating 7 x 4Gi files + 1 x 2Gi file --> 470,548,480 bytes free (H:\)
and in XMS a 1.45 Gi FAT32 RAMdrive with a 1Gi file --> 478,707,712 bytes free (G:\) - I tried (in sequence) the following

c:\FreeDOS\BIN\doslfnms.com (4/2/2022 20,369 bytes)

which gave me an error referring to CP437uni.tbl not being present.

I copied from c:\FreeDOS\NLS\CP437uni.tbl --> C:\FreeDOS\BIN\

on running c:\> doslfnms.com - no errors reported.

C:\> copy nulll.txt 0123456789abcdef
Did a directory of c:\freedos\bin\ and it only showed me 8.3 filenames.

So I then tried
C:\> DOSLFN.com (i.e what FREEDOS RC5 supplied - and the output message was)

DOSLFN 0.41e (....) : enabled

Last error 94 - InDOS bayrao(*)i(*) vesu(*)ru(*)cu(*) kullani(*)mi(*)ni(*) SIFIRLA

(Note eg single_character(*) means the single_character I typed in is approximate, an "i" is actually a "i" with an accent (or something on top))

I then typed

C:\> CD FreeDOS ( and the error message was)

Invalid Opcode at 001E 4069 5982 D720 A200 0804 9300 ED60 A900 0204 0200 D861 AC00

Cannot terminate permanent FreeCOM instance

System halted ... eboot or poweroff now

As I said, I may not have setup LFN correctly (nothing mentioned in config/auto).
