Will get to bigger drives very soon.

Meanwhile below is my best attempt to batch file automate the timing process to do a DIR ... > NUL for

(WHITE) without lfn installed (value pairs to determine elapsed time)
(GREEN) with doslfnMS (-c variant = latest 41f update)
(RED) with doslfn (-c variant = latest 41f update)

A (File+Directory) set of (10+4) was used for the possible combinations of:-

ROOT/1stLevelsubDirectory FOLDERS
USBFAT16/USBFAT32
XMSFAT32/SMSFAT32
XMSFAT16/SMSFAT16

Note I use the notation of SMS to designate SuperextendedMemory rather than SXMS notation.

To cover the 12 possibilities of above - 12 .bat files were created (1.bat, 2.bat,...9.bat,a.bat,b.bat,c.bat) and each .bat automatically sets up a minimal screen showing timings for with and without LFN support. Note that (hex) even .bat files are the respective ROOT FOLDERS, odd are 1st level sub-directories.

Screen CAPTURES (for timings)

1.bat D:\USB_FAT.32d\ = FAT32 USBstick

2.bat D:\ ROOT = FAT32 USBstick

3.bat G:\XMS_FAT.32g\ = XMS FAT32

4.bat G:\ ROOT = XMS FAT32

5.bat H:\SMS_FAT.32h\ = SMS FAT32

6.bat H:\ ROOT = SMS FAAT32

7.bat E:\USB_FAT.16e\ = FAT16 USBstick

8.bat E:\ ROOT = FAT16 USBstick

9.bat I:\XMS_FAT16\ = XMS FAT16
[image]

a.bat I:\ ROOT = XMS FAT16
[image]

b.bat J:\SMS_FAT.16j\ = SMS FAT16
[image]

c.bat J:\ ROOT = SMS FAT 16

the respective screenshots for the 12 folders (for confirmation purposes to establish test conditions similarity) are below - all should be (10 Files + 4 Directories)
